Objectifs

The novel, beyond its diegetic contents, is infinitely rich, and while we will mention other novels by DeLillo or other works that are representative of 9/11 fiction, we will focus on a close reading of the text in order to highlight the sophistication of its aesthetics. We will also work with the theoretical tools essential to the study of the novel (particularly in the field of Trauma Studies).

“But when the towers fell.”: FALLING MAN by Don DeLILLO
A quarter of a century after 9/11, this seminar aims to explore one of the most famous examples of what has come to be known as “post-9/11 literature” or “9/11 Fiction.”
